Principles

MICHAEL P. MITCHELL Managing Director
Michael holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Northeastern University. He began his career in 1992 as a territory representative for a New England sales agency. In 1999, he opened the agency’s New York office and worked to further the agency’s presence in the Metro New York market. In January of 2007, he joined Gerstein Hoffman Sales as a partner. His focus is building upon his excellent relationships in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania and growing the agency's business there and in the Mid-Atlantic market. Michael resides in Scarsdale, NY.
AL PETERS Managing Director
Al holds a B.S. in Marketing from Boston College. He began his career with Wagner SprayTech in 1977, where he was responsible for territories in upstate New York and in the six New England states. He established his own sales agency, Al Peters & Associates, in 1980 and next partnered with Ira Thomas in 1983 to form Peters & Thomas Sales. Al’s sales strengths are his ability to maintain a “hands on” policy of servicing the dealer stores, as well as responding to sales calls from independent and national stores (either on a direct selling basis or by supporting the local distributors). Al is responsible for managing key accounts and serving the eastern Massachusetts territory which includes Boston and southern New Hampshire. Al serves as president of Peters & Thomas Sales where he oversees the daily operations. Al resides in Mattapoisett, MA.
Timothy E Brown Managing Director
Tim holds a B.S. in Business Administration from SUNY Brockport. He began his career with Chase-Pitkin Home Center as a department manager for various areas within the store and then in Corporate Store Planning after graduation. In 1998 he opened the Metro NY office for C.A. Harrington Associates with a focus on Home Depot regional buying office as well as the retail/industrial customers in the market. In 2003 he went to work as Northeast and then East Coast Sales Manager for the Flood Company, leaving there for Director of Sales and then VP of Retail at Intertape Polymer in 2008. In 2015 he joined WJ Dennis as VP USA. His focus is building the agency's presence outside of the traditional NE/Mid Atlantic Markets with National Distributors and Retailers.

Carl Fischer Sales Representative
Carl graduated from Monroe County College in Monroe, NJ and has a diversified business background with experience in management, operations, customer service and merchandising. Prior to joining East Coast Sales Group, Carl was with Rustoleum/Zinsser for nearly a decade. He is an experienced professional with deep knowledge of wide-ranging products, customer service and the markets that he serves. Carl is responsible for accounts in eastern Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey and Delaware. He resides in Brick, NJ.
James Flynn Sales Representative
James received his BA in Business Administration from Hiram Scott College in 1971 and worked with Bristol Myers for 18 years working in Ohio and Michigan. In 1984, James accepted a position as District Manager in Mechanicsburg, PA with the Consumer Products Division. James has held positions as Regional Manager for Turtle Wax, Orange-Sol, Supreme Chemicals and Phoenix Tape covering the east coast. James has an excellent understanding of the paint sundry market with select assignments and working trade shows. James resides in Mechanicsburg, PA.
Nadine Kinat Sales Representative
Nadine has over 21 years in the paint industry, including over 17 years with Duron Paints and Sherwin Williams. She has worked in purchasing and as a store manager. Nadine’s goal is to provide excellent customer service and training to stores and their contractor customers. Nadine is responsible for accounts in Washington, DC, Maryland and Virginia. Nadine resides in Glen Burnie, MD.
Joe Lake Sales Representative
Joe has served the paint and hardware industry for over 25 years. This includes servicing national, regional and local accounts, as well as having significant interaction with contractors. Prior to joining East Coast Sales Group, Joe worked a brief time with a local distributor. Prior to that, he spent nearly 16 years at Rustoleum/Zinsser. He has always believed that success is based on fulfilling the needs of the customer. Joe is extremely knowledgeable with products, customer service, and the buying trends of his market area. He is responsible for accounts in Washington, DC, Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia. Joe resides in Hanover PA.
Alan Stormann Sales Representative
Alan graduated from the University of Maine with a B.S in KPE. He spent the next 15 years working as both a store manager and sales representative for Sherwin Williams. Alan has a deep knowledge and understanding of the paint market and the products that includes, as well as a strong sales and management background. Alan joined our team in 2020 and manages our business in Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire and Northern NY.
Tony Tumolo Sales Representative
Tony has been in the paint and building materials industry for over 30 years. He is a seasoned professional who is extremely knowledgeable of products, customer service, and the local markets. Tony is responsible for accounts in Metro New York. He resides in Middlesex, NJ.
Tim White Sales Representative
Tim holds a BS in Management from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. After starting his career as the Operations Manager for the Metropolitan District Commission in Boston, he was recruited for a management position with Grossmans Inc., a leading building materials supplier in the Northeast. After a period in operations management, he became a senior merchant for the company, a role which continued for 18 years. Following Grossmans, Tim worked for a Northeast Distributor before becoming a sales representative for Meehan & Nolan, an agency which represented manufacturers throughout the Northeast. He developed strong customer relationships by improving assortments and store presentations which resulted in impressive manufacturer growth in the territory throughout a 20-year period. He is responsible for accounts in Eastern New England and upstate New York. Tim resides in Beverly, MA and Portland, ME.
Paul Zimmerman Sales Representative
Paul holds a B.S in Marketing from Bryant College. He has 26 years of experience in the industry. He began his career as a sales territory representative for a distributor in Hartford, Connecticut. Paul joined Peters & Thomas Sales in 1994 and has been a valued member of the team ever since. He is responsible for accounts in Rhode Island, Connecticut, and central Massachusetts. Paul resides in Greenville, RI.
JIM COLE Sales Representative
Jim Cole has over 20 years of hardware industry experience. He began his career while in high school as a part time warehouse associate at Blackstone Supply in Providence, RI. Upon graduation Jim entered the sales department and was responsible for accounts throughout New England. After several successful years, he was promoted to sales manager, overseeing the sales force while still being responsible for his own accounts. In 2022 Jim joined East Coast Sales Group representing hardware and industrial manufacturers throughout the Northeast. Jim resides in Johnston, RI.

Charles Hanhauser Sales Representative
Chuck has over 25 year in the Hardware Home Improvement channel. Starting out of college with his father who was a Flooring Distributor in Cleveland area. In 2000 Chuck went out on his own, creating Consumer Products Marketing, a sales agency calling on the co-ops and two step distributors, as well as the flooring channel market. Chuck joined the team in 2019 and has been an integral part of our national expansion.

Marissa Johnson Sales Support
Marissa is the office administrator and internal sales coordinator for New England. She is responsible for targeting new business through cold calling and by sending targeted mailings to accounts keeping them aware and informed of new products and programs.
Vanessa Bisceglia Sales Support
Vanessa is the office administrator and internal sales coordinator for Metro New York and Mid-Atlantic territories. Her responsibilities include general office administration, as well as new business sales and customer service.
Morgan Brown Sales Support
Morgan holds a B.S. in Geology from the University of Buffalo. Her responsibilities include pricing, online portal maintenance, promotional marketing materials, show coordination and most recently inside sales for the National Account/Co-op channel. Morgan resides in Orlando, FL.
